Things about Taxi Drivers..

Well, hari ni ku dapat ilham daripada beberapa sita.
Malaysian taxis 'world's worst'. Tourist and locals are unhappy in the Malaysian capital with fewer cabbies willing to go their way or 'pakai meter'. I do understand the whole protocol of the taxi drivers.

Well, their reasons would be:

1) Mahu duit bayar sewa taxi punya!

2) Tada duit mau isi petrol

3) Harga petrol dah naik

4) Perlu duit mau bayar keperluan sendiri punya.

Well, its pretty ridiculous that they have that as an excuse. One simple word to define all those is simply "Lazy!"

I've been around these types of cases many times before, especially when i'm in real need of transportation. They would hike up the price till RM10-15 when the actually price is only RM6 max! Thats the reason why I stop taking taxi anywhere. I prefer the bus or better, walk.

I just hope that these drivers be more considerate la..

Unity is the Pillar to Success

Well, I was among the chosen ones to write an essay regarding the topic "Unity is the Pillar to Success". Honestly, I didn't even bother about taking part in it. I was "FORCED" to join this essay writting competition which I didn't like. So it was as usual a last minute entry. I just found out later in the day that this random brainstorming essay got me 2nd place. Mun Hong's essay got first.

In fact, i didn't prepare a thing for this essay but oh well. This is the essay!

Unity is the pillar to success.

"United we stand, Divided we fall" is a phrase that has been used in mottos, from nations and states to songs. The basic concept is that unless the people are united and one people, it is easy to destroy them. In commemorating the 51st Independence of Malaysia, unity is the pillar to success or specifically “Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan” has been assign as the motto and the title to the theme song of the 51st Independence of Malaysia which was originally composed by Pak Ngah and Lokman Ghani.

Unity or Integration among races is a vital part of maintaining the peace and harmony of this Asian country. The motto of this beautiful country is ‘unity is strength’. From the motto, we know that Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multilingual society. The population of the country is 28.9 million consisting of 62% Malays, 24% Chinese, 8% Indians, with other minorities and indigenous peoples. Malaysia is among the developing countries and the integration of races is considered the most vital part of its uniqueness. Most Malaysian gets their citizenship through “lex soli” system and after being granted the citizenship nevertheless their religion, they are automatically considered as a Malaysian.

Malaysians has been very supportive towards each other throughout the years. A number of Malaysians have been involved in various uphill tasks to bring the good name to the country. Here are a few of the examples we can emphasis on. Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, who was one of the eight elite astronauts traveled into space accompanied by the Russians. A large amount of crowd turned up at the Merdeka Stadium to watch a representative of the country go into space. This shows how much support we have as Malaysian to come and show our appreciation and to show congratulation towards a representative of the country.

Another historic happened a decade ago. An event when M. Magendran and N. Mohandass became the first Malaysians who climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, reaching the peak on 23 May 1997. This brought a shock to the whole nation, as they proved to the doubters that even the impossible could be achieved with faith and determination. This achievement has brought the nation to a whole other level, proving that even the small country from the southern-east is capable to hike a gigantic mountain. It also increases the self-esteem and tightens the bond with of each Malaysian as well as crediting the Indian-Malaysians whom risk their lives to put the Jalur Gemilang on the top of the peak.

One memorable event that happened this year during the Beijing Olympics, was the amazing achievement of the number one shuttler of the nation, Lee Chong Wei. One personal event that I would like to share with everyone is when Lee Chong Wei was against Lee Hyun Il of Korea in the semi-finals. I was one of the many people around standing at a Mamak stall whom supported our national hero. The greatest thing to see was when everyone in the Mamak stall was supporting with their hearts as they shouted everytime Lee Chong Wei scored a magnificent point. I, myself couldn't help but shout too. The moment Lee Chong Wei won the final point, at that instant, everyone in the Mamak stall got up and shouted their lungs out. You could see the Chinese, Indian, and Malays that were gathered together screaming as one. They were all hugging, congratulating, and supporting as one. Not as Malays, Indians or Chinese, but as Malaysians. I thought to myself, its funny how Malaysians come together as one to support a representative from the nation. Regardless the religion, we are still Malaysians after all. Although Lee Chong Wei got the silver in the end, he came back to Malaysia as a hero. Everyone was lifted and proud of his achievement.

In a nutshell, Malaysia is not a country based on only one religion, but it is a multi-racial country. We have to learn to live in a harmonious and tolerate life to ensure peace and success in the country. We Malaysians need each other for our country to develop socially and economically. One thing that we Malaysians should always remember during our accomplishment is that it’s not the achievements of an Indian, a Malay, or a Chinese, but instead it should be classified as the achievement of Malaysian.

Well, i got a little help from some friends on the names of the people and the specific dates. But imagine this Essay beating the crap out of Nadines Essay! hahaha..

TAKE THAT NAD!!

Haha.. Well, I didn't expect a second place. I am flattered. Unity is the key to success indeed!

A Trip to the National Library..

Today was actually a bad start for me.

I didn't wake up during sahur. Which means i had to fast the whole day without eating or drinking till buka puasa. But hey, its a challenge, i get what i deserve.. (=.=")

This way i'll make sure i wake up early and sleep early too!

Anyways, Calvin, Loh and I gathered somewhere near school and made our way to the bus stop. We reached the National Library around 12pm like that and we met up with the other 3 (Liana, Syuhada and Eff).

This is what it looks from the outside! THE NATIONAL LIBRARY!

Ta Da!! Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia = direct translation (Library Country Malaysia) haihz.. I Love Malaysia!

Ahh, ni la.. From the enterance.. A picture of the overall look.

This is what the National Library looks like in the inside.

DAMN! No Cameras! No Sissors! Damn.. But that DIDN'T STOP ME! NO! HAHAHAHA...

To our surprise, there were quite a few people that we knew that went there. I was impressed. haha. Well, not that im making fun or wad.

Here's Liana with her Karangan. So focused!!

This is a picture of En. Cal Yoong Boon Teck teaching Loh. Well I gotta say that he is damn great at teaching. He really wants us to excel and he forced us out just to teach us. Really touching man.

We did some intensive exercises just now, Add Maths, Bm, and Maths.. Not bad la.. Calvin (the genius) also helped us out and Now i understand the concept! (BTW Im not saying that Mr Alex is confusing.) Add Maths! HERE I COME SUCKA!

Besides that Photo sessions is a must!! haha.. so here are some shots.

I'm really amazed that Liana managed to hide her whole body behind me. Does this mean shes getting thin?? OR AM I??? OMG. Im not saying it..!!

MoonCake Festival

Today, I went to school for the Mooncake Festival thingy.

Well, I know that there will be only Chinese present. But the last time I went there, i got a first class treatment.. hahaha.. Think i know why. (=.=") Well, alot of them actually called me to join but I didn't want to go because I'll be alone and thats not fun. But Ai Ling and Pauline will be performing and yes i want to go! haha.

I went around 7am. Oh yea, I still haven't BUKA PUASA!!!. This kinda bugs me. I don't want to complain much but I've been opening my fasting period later then usual. Not that its a problem but still.. haihz.. So, when i arrived they were like.. Ha? Remon??? Well, can't blame me.. Sad thing was no one accompanied me this time.

I tried to play that song. Automatically, from there, I know where was D, Em, F, and the A chords. hahaha.

I went to boost up Ai Ling's spirit and got a free start session from her. haha.

No mooncake festival is complete without the LION! HAHAHA..

Well, there to Accompany me was Looi and friends. Jual ROTI!! HAHA..

Anyways I didn't want to compared it to last year, cause as far as i know, last year was way better then this year. Can't blame la, the organizer sangat 'lau ya' punye. It was Pauline and Ai Ling's performance. Well, i can't lie. They did a good job for starters. But I couldn't bearly hear what they were saying. But they did their best at thats all that counts.

Besides that there was nothing much to talk about. Now i want to talk about Moon Cakes!

Mooncakes were used by those revolutionaries in China to secretly distribute letters in order to overthrow the Mongolian rulers of China in the Yuan dynasty. Got one of those heroes la ask them to eat Mooncake for Goodluck, so this prompted the quick distribution of the mooncakes, which were used to hide a secret message coordinating the Han Chinese revolt on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month.

Another method of hiding the message was printed in the surface of mooncakes as a simple puzzle or mosaic. Now you all know why got those weird writting on the top of mooncake. In order to read the encrypted message, each of the 4 mooncakes packaged together must be cut into 4 parts each. The 16 pieces of mooncake, must then be pieced together in such a fashion that the secret messages can be read. The pieces of mooncake are then eaten to destroy the message. Damn pandai la those people.

Mooncakes are a festival delight! haha and i love them~~

This is the moonycakey Naz gimme!! haha..

Ni belum buka lagi. Just to prove that its Naz one. NAZ this the mooncake you gimme rite?? hahaha..

Side view of the cake.

This is a lotus mooncake. Can see Chinese encrypted words. If im not mistaken, its BIG .... .... .... . I only know one word. Tu pun kira bagus la.

Very seductive eh?? haha.. Inside got york one.

Well, I had to cut them.

And end up making a mess.. haihz. Yea, yea, i know i'm a horrible mooncake cutter. haihz.. Doesn't matter its all going in my tummy in the end. HAHAHA!!

Well Naz, thanks again for the moony cakey. VERY Thoughful of you.

Ironic, The word moony cake brings back scary memories back in primany school. haihz..

9-11 (September)

Well, another year has come and pass since the catastrophic bombing of the World Trade Centre in the Us.

Everytime these date comes, its always something happening. Probably a hoax and sometimes real. Well, years back I remember they said that there was a bomb in KLCC and everyone was ask to evacuate the building and later found out it was a sick joke. Imagine what would happen if the KLCC actually fall apart.

Questions I would wonder.

1) If the KLCC was a target, which would be the primary target? The Left tower, the Right tower, or the Sky Brigde?

2) If the KLCC actually collapsed, would it reach my house?

3) Would the next day be a public holiday?

4) What will the replace the KLCC with?

5) Does this means that celebrities from all around the world would come to Malaysia to perform a tribute?

6) Who are the most influenced Perpetrators to do such a thing?

7) What is the most alternative move for the PM to do?

8) Since we are a multi-racial country, what excuse would the perpetrators have to disturb the peace of NegaraKu?

Well, its not like i'm hoping for the 9/11 to happen in Malaysia, i would be a immigrant who hates multiracial cultures to say so. Just that these things crossed my mind for the past years since the Bombing in 2001.

I pray for peace and harmony in this country.

Malaysia Bolehh!

Lion Dance

Well, this particular dance is well known among the Chinese people. As well as other religions if they actually give a damn, its the Lion Dance! ^^

Well, For those of you who don't know here's a little of what Lion Dance is all about.

This typical dance is a Chinese traditional, in which the well trained people inside the costume would mimic the Lion's movements. This movements are well planned which involves acrobatic stunts as well as some dangerous stunts. If I'm not mistaken, The northern type of dance are usually for entertainment whereas the southern part of it is more symbolic.

For those people who still blur blur, The southern dance are the common ones you see in shop lots, schools and in small occasions. Nothern dance are far too imperior for your cheap eyes. Hahaha, just kidding!

One more thing about the Southern Dance is that it castes away evil spirits and brings in the good luck and fortune. Both this dances are usually confronted when Chinese New Year is celebrated.

Don't mix up the Dragon Dance and the Lion Dance. Both are totally different. The Dragon dance involve about 8-12 people unlike the Lion Dance which only involves a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 3 people.

The preformers could also be related to Kung Fu as their moves are a vital part of the movement of the Lion. If you carefully observe, the Lion Dance looks very Kung Fu'ey don't you agree??

Well, I've observe quite a few dances in my time. But significantly, this year during Chinese New Year, was trully the best time to see the Lion Dance. No it wasn't anything about the Lion or the Dance. It was more than that.. Much much more...

THIS PICTURES WERE TAKEN DURING THE CUCURICULUM DAY IN SMK TAMAN MALURI.

Little Wonders..

Well, from the title you might be thinking that i'm writing about something little..

Well, yea.
Infact, its about a little boy.

Today, after the sunday service in church, everyone went out. I on the other hand stayed back to console myself. Recalling what happened yesterday, i was asking for some peace in mind by Jesus. I stared at the cross for a while and I began asking him about yesterday. Sounds crazy but I do talk to him in church. Questions about why things happen in families and about my mom. I was sitting at the back of the Church and slowly prayed.

Minutes later, out of no where, this little boy came to me (a son from a relative, about 6 - 7 years old). He had this smile on his face, a very captivating smile.
He came up to me and asked;

"Your mummy still in India ar?"

The funny thing was, he had his hand on my chin and was actually playing with my beard while asking the question.

I replied

"Yes boy, she is"

Before running off, he smiled and said

"Don't worry!"

I couldn't help but notice the jolly'ness in his face.
It actually enlighten me to see him concern for me.
A young boy, who i don't see everyday, come up to see me and talked to me.

It actually put a smile on my face.
One of God's mysterious ways of comforting me.

Talking to someone who isn't there

No i'm not talking about a ghost.

Since I've been left home alone for almost all of the time last month and this, I noticed that i've been speaking really frequently. Thats a good thing if someone is actually there, however theres no one..

Some define this as a phychotic retardness in the brain. They say that you're crazy if you do so. "Talking to yourself like a mad man" was the phrase always used at situations like this. But sometimes, you just can't help yourself. Its like no one is there to listen to you. So you start talking to yourself.

This usually occurs when you're lonely, and when no ones there to speak to you. You could talk to yourself without worrying how to put up a conversation. Its finally the true you when you're speaking to yourself. They greatest thing about it is that you get to say everything in your mind without hesitating at all. You can never be wrong when you're speaking to yourself.

But sad thing is, no ones listening.

Sometimes, you just wish that someone is there to hear what you have to say, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't tell it to them. Its not that you don't trust them or anything, but you just don't think that they are the right person for you to talk to. Whats worst is, the one person you could tell it to, couldn't be there to listen to you.

But life ain't about yourself. Sometimes, you have to respect the fact that some people have no time to entertain your problems. Sometimes they have problems of their own and they just can't be taking your problems and theirs and mixing it together. They have their own life to live with. No arguements there.

Why is it so hard to actually "TALK" to the people you trust?

  • Its because, your problem might be something related to your friendship and you just don't want them to carry your burden by telling them how you feel.
  • Whatever you say could effect the relationship you have with them, especially a good friend. When you're talking to them about another friend, complication starts.
  • Situations of such that whats happening in your personal life is just something you can't share with others because of certain promises.
  • Although you really wish that you could share it to someone, anyone who is willing to lend a ear, you find it hard to tell it to them.
  • You're afraid of their reaction after telling them a certain secret, that it might change or probably ruin your whole friendship.

Like I said before,

Its not that I don't want to.. I just can't...

Shopping for a Badminton Racket.

Well, we went shopping!!! hahaha.. Not exactly shopping la, Mogan was in need a of a racket so Hafiz, Loh and I tagged in. Besides we wanted to check out some Isometrics, Armotecs, Carbonnyx, and other hard hitting rackets. We did managed to find Armotec 500 but Datuk Lee Chong Wei punya (Armotec 900) can't find. Probably too expensive la. haha..

Mogan was quite confused to buy what racket, so i recommended the starters one, the Isometric with Super Power string. Mogan was that power type of person ma, i thought it would be suitable for him.

This picture, Hafiz was trying to steal the racket! Too bad it was all locked up. Hafiz himself is desperate to get another racket. Let him see what he likes then maybe after SPM we come shopping again.

Well, Mogan seemed satisfied with the choice, the racket he is pointing to was the one he bought! ^^ If you all can see, you all memang hebat.

Well, it was getting rather late so the Fiz, Loh and I left Jusco and rushed home. On the way home, we saw the legendary Pinky car parked outside Kok Khuen's residents.

No doubt this car belongs to Kok Khuens family, even I was in it before. They modified this Datsun from a browny colour to a unique pink and yellow colour. I have to say that this is very unique. In the whole Malaysia, this is the first pink and yellow Datsun I think.
