Talking to someone who isn't there

No i'm not talking about a ghost.

Since I've been left home alone for almost all of the time last month and this, I noticed that i've been speaking really frequently. Thats a good thing if someone is actually there, however theres no one..

Some define this as a phychotic retardness in the brain. They say that you're crazy if you do so. "Talking to yourself like a mad man" was the phrase always used at situations like this. But sometimes, you just can't help yourself. Its like no one is there to listen to you. So you start talking to yourself.

This usually occurs when you're lonely, and when no ones there to speak to you. You could talk to yourself without worrying how to put up a conversation. Its finally the true you when you're speaking to yourself. They greatest thing about it is that you get to say everything in your mind without hesitating at all. You can never be wrong when you're speaking to yourself.

But sad thing is, no ones listening.

Sometimes, you just wish that someone is there to hear what you have to say, but no matter how hard you try, you just can't tell it to them. Its not that you don't trust them or anything, but you just don't think that they are the right person for you to talk to. Whats worst is, the one person you could tell it to, couldn't be there to listen to you.

But life ain't about yourself. Sometimes, you have to respect the fact that some people have no time to entertain your problems. Sometimes they have problems of their own and they just can't be taking your problems and theirs and mixing it together. They have their own life to live with. No arguements there.

Why is it so hard to actually "TALK" to the people you trust?

  • Its because, your problem might be something related to your friendship and you just don't want them to carry your burden by telling them how you feel.
  • Whatever you say could effect the relationship you have with them, especially a good friend. When you're talking to them about another friend, complication starts.
  • Situations of such that whats happening in your personal life is just something you can't share with others because of certain promises.
  • Although you really wish that you could share it to someone, anyone who is willing to lend a ear, you find it hard to tell it to them.
  • You're afraid of their reaction after telling them a certain secret, that it might change or probably ruin your whole friendship.

Like I said before,

Its not that I don't want to.. I just can't...
