A Lonely September

Hello everyone..
So today is the last day of the month and as usual, there would be recaps of the happening and non-happenings..

I've been waiting quite long to say this actually..

Wake Me Up When September Ends..

To be honest.. September was quite disappointing.. It has always been that way, no different this year. But at least not everything was disappointing. There were good times with friends.. good times in college.. good times on the phone.. gatherings.. reunions.. FOOTBALL!

so it wasn't entirely bad.

To those who celebrate birthdays! Happy Birthday to you! Let me just list out the ones I remember..

Najihah Kamal - 10 September
Louis Siah Mun Hong - 27 September
Alisha Kow Sze Mei - 29 September
John Ng Chee Whye - 30 September

For those I could not recall.. I'm sorry! But my best of wishes to you! :)

Tomorrow is a new month..
So with September gone,
Lets see.. When October Goes..

Passing Time..

One thing that came to mind..

Please don't show off you're so called "Cool" attitude to make others laugh.. this especially goes to people who use people they call "friends".

Don't lose you're freaking lose your identity when you meet new people.. Be who you freaking are.. Don't do it to impress anyone because its so clear its fake..

I have a bunch of this impersonaters in my hit list.. If i have the chance one day, I'll kick the ass off of their body.. I don't know how to do that, but i'll make it happen.

Seriously people, especially since I'm a guy, to the guys..

Just because there is a girl around,

  • Don't freaking forget yourself and forget the friendship you have.
  • Don't freaking use your friends as some sort of laughing stock to entertain someone else.
  • Don't freaking change you're whole self into that freaking-person-you-are-not when you meet someone else.
  • Don't just say but do something else. Put your money where your mouth is.

This can go to the girls as well..
You're friends might say they are ok with it and they are used to it.. But seriously, deep inside, they just feel sympathy for themselves as they feel for you.

I've been in situations when people don't have this thing for others..

Its called.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

can you spell that out??
scratch that..

do you even know what that means??

You can freaking pretend to be whoever you want to be you're just lying to yourself.
Yea.. so this is whats on my mind..

Back to the Oreo I am enjoying.. :)

Crap the last one was broken.. :(
Someone buy me one more pack please..
I'll be greatful.. :D

back to school..

say goodbye to holidays!
and say hello to school/college/university.. whatever you wanna call it..

Goodnight! :D

ZzzzZzzzZzzZzz

Everytime the rain falls..

... It felt so cold..

it would be an idle time to sleep..
I can't..
my body is totally weak..
I can barely walk..

My dad said it was because I played football after a long time..
And that was the truth.

The other part was..
I was out since 7am till 11pm..

I only came home for like 30 minutes and left at 12pm..

I didn't get home.. since and I was walking..
The only person feeling the same would be Calvin..
cause I spend almost the whole day doing the same thing he did..

We both played football (7am - 11am)
we both went to Pavillion (12pm - 4.30pm)
we both went to Adilahs house (5pm)
we both walked to Liana's house (5pm - 6pm)
we both walked to Syuhada's house.. (6pm - 8pm)
we both went back to Maluri..
we both went to Oldtown.. (8-11pm)

Somemore tomorrow classes will start..
don't know if i'll be limping away...

Never felt this way for so long..
Never felt so good! :D
=.='

Goodbye people.. I'm crapping..

Legends vs Icons 2.0..

Team Hawk Football Club presents..

Legends vs Icons 2.0..
26th September..

We lost 12-4 to the icons of Calvin's young superstars..

I was personally upset of the fact that it was my worse ever performance ever. Not only once that I crammed but rather more than 3 times. It was saddening when I wanted to give up. I have never gave up on my team until today. I've never gave up the fight till the very end, but sadly, I did.

This is probably something personal that not many would understand. I've captained this team a long time, and I passed it on to Calvin for one reason, because he could lead the team better, because he was the star of the team. As much as it was painful to give away the captain armband away, i never regret doing it for the sake of the team.

Calvin had shown so much improvement since I first played football with him. He was the idle replacement to lead the team to glory. I've done my part and gave the best of me.

When I started today's game, I was the happiest of person.. Why? Because I finally.. FINALLY.. got to play football after what seemed to be years. I've never left football for a long time until I left for college life.

But as the game went on, I realised that I wasn't the player I once used to be..
I was alot weaker..
I was not motivated as I used to be..
I had no stamina..
I had nothing..

I was disappointed with myself that I let my team down.
Football is football no doubt, its just a game and theres always going to be one winner and one loser if there was no equal score line.

To the legends..
I'm sorry I let you down once again.

My legs crammed, my boots torn to its worse, no energy left..

12-4..
It was an honor to play football with a great team such as this.
It always been.. and always will be..

Man's best Friend..

Never have I felt someone elses compassion for a pet..
Never until that day..

Naz drove by his old place just to see it..
And along came Bobby..
Unable to control himself..
Naz went straight to him.. took him..

I only stared from inside the car..
But I could feel what Naz felt for his cat..

Then he brought his cat to the car..
I had the chance to play with Bobby..

Naz didn't had the heart to leave..
I just stared and part of me felt what he felt..

It reminded me so much of Pentagen..
The first dog i ever had..
my old friend..

I really loved him..

I was cursed to have witness how his life was taken away..
:*(

Maaf Zahir dan Batin..

Hari Raya..
For my muslim brothers and sisters..
I believe that this day is probably one of the best days for you..
You might have your reasons for it so I don't really have to say much..

Anyways, being a non-muslim..
All I could do it just visit a few people and try to share their joy of celebration..

First it was the Twins house..
Adik+Abang as we call them..

Mogane, Kent, Kheng Wai, Calvin and Loh joined along..

The one missing person was the FAMOUS, Ku Wei Xiong..

So to represent the missing Ku, we asked the bear to replace him..

Itse been a while since I met these people, so yea.. It was nice to see them after a while..

Posing infront of the house..

Next stop was Amals house..
Nothing much happened there..
We just went to tunjuk muka, makan and get lost..

Thanks Abang+Adik for inviting.. For the fries.. and everything else! :D
Amal, thank you too! :D

So that was it for Wednesday..

and on Thursday.. Nazim called me to join him..

WA!
yes WA!
I mean.. HAFIZ!!
its been years!
ok fine.. months since I seen my favorite joker!

Dude! he seem soo different and wow..
hahaha..

We headed to Naz's new place..

This time around.. I got a little carried away.. so I makan'ed more then my stomach could take.. I think 3 times I makan lunch.. and makan again before going home..

Hafiz cracked up another joke of his so we laughed away!!

Oh yea, Calvin joined us too, but he had to leave early for another function..

So just before the end.. we took another shot..
Its nice to meet them after a long time..
You have that feeling that its home sweet home..

Oh yea, Naz, when you brought me to your new place..
I just felt like home straight away.. Yes it was big and everything was new.. But i felt fit in..

Thanks Naz for your hospitality and your mom's fine Chicken Rendang that was soo delicious..

This year wasn't as hyper as last year cause there was not much picture taken..
I'm losing my touch as the camera-man i once use to be..

So, my apologies.. but thats all.. :)

Digging Deeper #5

This time, something inspiring by my Favourite Malaysian..

"My father taught me that not every day will be a good one.
Not every match will be a win. But his belief in me has never wavered.

With his support, and my fans behing me, I will always have the strength to fight another day.
We know that great champions are not only measured by the number of medals the win, but by the challenges they overcome."

Through it all, Maxis is proud to be associated with a true Malaysian Champion.

So now we know, Dato Lee is using Maxis..
anyone can you get me Lee Chong Wei's phone number???

There's only one Manchester..

For every football fan in the world..

Never has a Manchester derby been so thrilling.. You have to agree with me, never-the-less you're a Liverpool, Arsenal, or Chelsea fan.

What happened? did you miss it?

It was by far, the best Manchester Derby game of my 18 years of living. In a case where Carlos Tevez literally BETRAYED Manchester United to leave to their City rivals, Manchester City, gave us the chance to actually hit back at him.

A little recap before the actually match..

Not only has Manchester City been so arrogant since the Middle-Easterns took over of the club, but MANCHESTER CITY have taunted United by putting up a Carlos Tevez poster in the city centre declaring: Welcome to Manchester.

Manchester United and Manchester City has been arch rivals for a long time. But there was another reason to watch it, who was the better Manchester..

Football and its drama.

The game started and not even 2 minutes into the game and WAZZA scored a skillful goal that put United into the lead.

WAYNE ROOONEY!!!

After 17 minutes the Reds were pegged back – Tevez the goal’s architect. It was surprising that Foster didn’t clear his lines from a harmless blue ball forward. Instead, the Reds keeper hesitated, allowing Tevez to pass to Barry for the equaliser.

MANU 1 MANC 1

SECOND HALF..

Second half began and within three minutes, Evra and Giggs combined well with the latter sending a deep cross to the far post, and Fletcher rose above the City defence to head past Given and make it advantage United again.

DARREN FLETCHER

Once more, though, City plucked something out of nothing to level the scores. Bellamy was allowed too much time on the ball and United were again ruthlessly punished as he cut inside and hit an unstoppable shot into Foster’s top corner. Probably counted as the goal of the week. But still I was not going to be happy about it.

MANU 2 MANC 2

Even from the TV you could hear the voices of the United fans in the stadium “Attack, attack, attack,” the cry came from the Stretford End (one of United's stand), that was exactly what ManU was doing, it was a agony watching Given save shots from Giggs, 2 headers from Berbatov and more shots. But there was a sense, something told me, United was going to score again. I think that was what happened. Sir Alex sensed it, too, bringing on Owen in place of Berbatov to search for the all-important winner.

And yes! it happened! The goal soon arrived, and it was the same combination as before. Evra won a free-kick on the left, Giggs provided the curling delivery, and Fletcher headed home. It was nothing more than United deserved after a brilliant second-half display.

But sadly, because of some poor defending from Ferdinand, Bellamy and his pace took him away from the United no.5 before sliding the ball past Foster to level at 3-3.

MANU 3 MANC 3

90th Minute..

It was a huge let down, 5 minutes of extra time added on by the officials.

Owen is lurking..
Valencia with sublime energy..
Rooney still threatening..
Fletcher was trying..
Giggs was the one firing up the team..

This is it.. United was really going up for it..
Corners after corners..

United knew they had to win this.. The had the urge to get the goal.

THEN CAME THE LIGHT...

Giggs spotted Owen was unmarked on the left side of goal, a cheeky through pass..

EVERY ONE WAS UP ON THEIR FEET!

OWEN WACKED IT into the net!

Goaallll!!!!

MANU 4 MANC 3

EVERYONE ERUPTED!!

OWEN SCORED at the THEATER of DREAMS..
WHAT A GOAL! WHAT A MATCH!
it was seconds away from its end and OWEN grabbed the winner..

Have you ever witness any other breathtaking match in your life?
That was among the ones that stood above the rest..

It was a miracle..
a God-made-miracle..

Michael Owen..
the Boy who grew up in ANFIELD..
is now a UNITED HERO..

And to City..
I hope this is a lesson to you..

You're mockery has come to its end.
Don't freaking forget who is the most dominant team in the England..

18 = PREMIERSHIP TITLES
3 = EUROPEAN LEAGUE TITLES
11 = F.A. CUP TITLES

I just got one thing to say to the City fans..

"Thats why we're Champions"

For those who missed the goal.. (one of them being Calvin)
The late winner.. here's a video..

Its like..
watching Ruud van Nistelrooy all over again..
but this time, its Michael James Owen..

Are we human? or are we dancers?

For the past few weeks, theres this song in my head.
Human by The Killers.

I was introduced to this song out of curiousity.

My little brother was listening to his MP4 player in the car, when we were on our way home from dinner. The car was amazingly quiet until he made this sound in the most dramatic way;

"Are we humman?? or areee we daannncerrs??"

I went laughing like crazy and said
"Neither.. You're fat."

That was the first time I heard the question..

I made a little in dept search about this statement and well it was obviously a metaphor.

In regards to 'human and dancer', the singer is actually implying that they're two different things. There is also one part in the second verse that the singer would sing a send-off of morals ("grace and virtue", "good", "soul and romance", "devotion") - implying that humans used to/should have. As an adjective, human means free thinker. Meaning we can do what we want when we want.

As for the dancer part, he uses "dancer" as a metaphor - dancers follow leads, they conform. Dancer is refering to a puppet dancing on string. Having someone move you were they want you to go, thinking for you, and living our life like a routine that is all planned out.

So the question now..

Are we human? or are we dancers?

  • Thirdly, thank you Navin for sending me Rainbow's report so i could use it as my guideline, and
  • Lastly, thank you Rainbow for finishing your report and letting me use it as a guide line.. :p

Orientation Dinner on 3rd September 2009.

On the 3rd of September, there was a dinner organized by our seniors from DH31. The dinner was in conjunction of welcoming DH34 to Taylors College. The dinner was scheduled at 7am in the 2 main restaurants in our college namely Santa Ines and Lescoffier. There was a theme for the night and it was “Glamorous Night”.

It was 7.30pm and half of DH34 was already present outside of the restaurant taking pictures with friends and others. All the ladies wore pretty and eye catching dress, and about half the gentlemen present wore casual outfit and the others were really well dressed. Both guys and girls look glamorous for the night.

It was 8pm when almost everyone had already arrived and we finally got in the restaurant with warm welcomes and pleasant smiles from the host and hostess at the doors. We were guided to our sitting place. Just as soon as we were comfortable, the server laid the napkin down to our laps. The fruit punch was already served on the table.

The first thing that I noticed on the table was the amazing, creative centre piece.

Though it looks too big and it’s taking up quite a volume of space of the table, it matched the table cloth and the theme of the night. It gave a soothing and calm impression and it was a job well done to the creators for their creativity. The next thing I was attracted to was the glittering menu piece on the table.

It was simple, creative and glamorous.

There was 2 tables stretching out long and everyone was comfortably seated and had ample place to move. Not everyone seated with us was from our group, there was a mixture of groups for each seat and there were one or two lecturer joining us as well. This gave us the opportunity to get to know our other DH34 members better. We also had Mr Anshul, one of the few hyper lecturers sitting with us and sharing his stories. It was good to have him seating with us on the same table as he treated us more like a friend then the usual Geography lecturer that he is.

A few minutes later, the party even began and there were 2 hosts for the evening, both DH31 students. They entered the floor from the centre and later danced to a catchy music to start of the evening.

After that, Mr Patrick Daya gave a speech. His speech was to give special recognition of all the F&B Lecturers that was involve and everyone gave a round of applause to them.

After the speech, our first meals were served.

Mushroom Soup with a Breadstick.

The soup was good with the bread, but for the fact that it has been kept in the kitchen too long, when it arrived to our tables it was cold. Maybe the servers should have immediately served the soup once it was ready to us without letting it cool off.

While having the soup and breadstick, there was a fashion show going on. The fashion show wasn’t really that appealing because there was no difference in attire except probably towards the end where there was one guy dressed up in a Taek-wan-do suit and a Anime ghostly creature.

Right after I was done with my soup, the server immediately removed my plate from the table. It shows good efficiency and focus by the servers of DH31. The next meal was our main course.

The main course was served platted styled.

Chicken Cordon Bleu with Russian Salad & Mash Potatoes.

The main course was well presented with gravy sauce on the chicken. The mash potatoes were tasty and the chicken was really delicious. It was a really good main course and a stomach-filling one too.

Back to the stage was a singer and a guitarist. Though they had a microphone problem at first, they managed to pull it off and the singer surprised me with a good voice and went on to do a high pitch and they played the right type of music for the evening.

When they were done, next came the brick-dancers.

The brick-dancers danced this hip-hop style of dance that got the whole restaurants eyes on them. They pulled of cool moves and it was a good combination of choreography. It must have taken them hours to practice just to get the moves right and well; it was a splendid job indeed.

Next to be served was our dessert.

I’m sorry to say that I didn’t quite remember the name of the dessert. I like the idea of how it was presented, it looked good but I did not like the taste of the peach fruit that came with the cake. The ice cream and the chocolate syrup saved the dessert and the crust was just perfect.

The servers continued their routine refilling leaving the glass bottomless.

After the desserts, we had games. The first game was Bingo. It was a classic table game and we were given 5 minutes to fill in the slots with any numbers from 1 to 30. After the 5 minutes, Mr Alex Stephen announced the numbers. There were 2 winners, the first was Kennedy and the second was Remon, me.

The next game was a little tricky because it involved 6 guys, 6 girls and 6 lecturers. The following participants had to tie a balloon to their feet. The objective of this game was to pop the other participant’s balloon and at the same time keep your balloon remained un-popped. The winner of this competition was Navin Kumar.

The same crowd remained on stage, this time for another game. The objective was to see who could blow the biggest balloon.

Everyone was blowing up their balloon and eventually came down to the last 2, Nancy and Mr Anshul.

Since this dinner was for the students, Nancy was given the prize.

The games were simple but it was exciting. Everyone was cheering, supporting, laughing and having alot of fun.

The next event was the Best Dressed.

For the ladies, it was a girl who wore a black outfit, with a red hair band. I can’t quite remember her name but she was the winner for the ladies.

As for the mens,

It was our good friend Wayne who won the best dressed male category by wearing a traditional Indian costume.

The last event for the night was the singing of the song “Heal the World” by the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Everyone stood up holding hands and we went around the restaurant singing the song. It was something new and unique.

Before ending the evening, there was one final recognition to everyone involved, from the cooks and chefs that prepared our meals, to the servers who presented the food to us. Everyone worked as a team and deserved the round of applause.

It was exactly 10.30pm when the dinner came to its end.

In conclusion to this report,

The dinner by DH31 was an absolute success. Everyone present was satisfied with the events and food for the evening. This event also tightens the bonds between friends and lecturers too. It was successful event and a job well done to the organizers who prepared, organized and coordinated the event.
