Cameron Highlands

20th-21th June 2009 - Saturday + Sunday.

My uncle had to give a talk in Cameron Highland for this youth convention, so he called my siblings along. My sister as usual, had other plans. So it was my brother and me. I haven't been up to Cameron before so, this would be yet again, a first time. I didn't want to waste the opportunity.

We woke up at 5am and got ready. We left to visit my aunt in the hospital first, before hitting the open road at approximately 7am. My brother slept and I was trying to keep awake.

Tried tried and tried and eventually ko already.

But My uncle tak puas hati for some reason, keep waking me up. haihz..
hahahaha..

Then came the winding road. Left.. Right... Left...
hahahaha.. crazy..

Well.. Oh yea.. on the way to the top.. there was this beautiful scene. A waterfall. My uncle pull over and just went to take some shots.

I'll just post 2 of them. :p

WATERFALL.

The beautiful creation, the genius, and the Liverfool (my brother). hahahahahaha..

So, after some shots later, we continued the journey.

Not less than 30 minutes later, we were already there!

Selamat Datang!!
Welcome!!

So, we went arrived at the convent, where the Youth Convention was taking place. Just as I stepped out of the car, there was this cold breezy wind. waaa... ~~

But it wasn't really that cold cause it was still in the afternoon.

We spent almost the whole time in the convent and it wasn't really fun cause we had limited things to do. We could only stay in this room quietly. It wasn't really boring cause my uncle brought his portable DVD player, so my brother and I watch the Fast and the Furious 4 and X-Men Origins - Wolverine.

When the opportunity came and we went out to "explore" Cameron.

To be very very honest, i was disappointed with Cameron Highlands cause i was expecting alot, alot, alot, and more Greens as how I pictured it would be. It was growing to be an industrial area. But it didn't really matter anyways. At least I'm up here!

Oh yea,

This was the theme song that I was singing the whole time in Cameron Highland.

" They were sitting
They were sitting on the strawberry swing
Every moment was so precious

They were sitting
They were talking under strawberry swing
Everybody was for fighting

Wouldn't wanna waste a thing..."

- Coldplay

Why?? Well! Cameron was the land of Strawberries!!
It was a strawberry craze up there!!

Here there and everywhere!
Strawberries!!

OMG.. hahaha..

I remembered going to the town, and there was strawberries pillows and dolls hanging all over the places. I sat in that mamak shop there and staring at the menu at another shop which was closed, the menu, Strawberry Shake, Strawberry pudding.. Strawberry, Strawberry.. OMG.. people can get Fragria (Strawberry) Flu up there.

Well, the trip wouldn't be complete without a tour to the Strawberry Farms itself. So, we went la. It was sooo smelly! hahahha.. the fertilizers was, smellingly, still fresh. So faham faham la.

We didn't pick our own strawberries. Rm18 for a 1 kilogram or something. You crazy ar! I rather go back and eat 3 Fish Fillet Burger.

Well, there was this one wonderful thing about Cameron.

A lake on top of a Hill.
God's creation.

It was nature at its best up there. Everything was beautiful up there. It was great to get out of the city and visit this sorta places once in a while.

Go to Cameron Highlands - DONE!

King of Pop Dies..

It was thought to be a rumour..

But in the early mornings of today, the radio played as usual and they mention that Michael Jackson died.

The cause of death is reported to be cardiac arrest. Jackson was pronounced dead at about 2:26 pm local time. Los Angeles Police Department homicide and robbery division detectives attended the scene as a matter of routine in high profile death cases. An autopsy is said to be scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2009

It was indeed tragic to lose such an iconic figure who indeed ruled the music industry back in the 80's and 90's.

A Walk with the Icon.

  • The artist behind the biggest-selling album of all time, Thriller, Jackson was attempting a comeback after years of headlines about his child molestation charges (he was acquitted) to his plastic surgery and his habit of wearing face masks.
  • He had been scheduled to perform 50 sell-out concerts at London's 02 arena from next week to March 2010.
  • Jackson started in the music business at the age of 11 as a member of the Jackson 5 with his brothers.
  • The group had a number of hits on Motown in the 1970s.
  • Five of his solo albums are some of the top-selling albums of all time: "Off the Wall," 1982's "Thriller," "Bad," "Dangerous" and "HISstory."
  • He was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and had 13 Grammy awards and 13 number one singles.
  • He has sold over 750 million albums worldwide.
  • His total earnings have been estimated at $500 million dollars. His music videos on MTV, such as "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" were some of the most influential early music videos, and his sound influenced numerous hip hop and R&B artists.
  • He was tried and acquitted of sexual abuse allegations in 2005.
  • He married nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe in Sydney, with whom he fathered a son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr, also known as Prince, and a daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson.

  • After they divorced in 1999, he retained full custody of the children.
  • In the early 1990s, he was briefly married to Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley.
  • He lived at Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara from 1988 to 2005.
  • It was sold to Colony Capital, although he still owns a stake in the property.
  • To celebrate his 50th birthday, Sony BMG released a compilation album, "King of Pop," in various countries, but it was not released in the US.
  • The Los Angeles Times reported Jackson's condition had died after going into a deep coma.
  • In recent months, Jackson had been trying to revive his flagging career which crashed after he faced child-sex charges - allegations he eventually beat in court.
  • As the first step in this comeback, the singer had been due to play 50 sell-out shows at London's O2 Arena starting in July.
  • But the King of Pop had already postponed the first few nights' shows amid claims he was suffering health problems.
  • The Daily Mail in London reported organisers AEG Live said this was in order to make sure everything for the "massive and technically complex show" was running smoothly.

  • But critics say ongoing concerns about Jackson's health were the real reason behind the gigs having to be postponed.
  • Earlier this year, Jackson was seen emerging from a doctors three times in one week amid rumours that he was battling skin cancer.
  • The claims were denied by his representatives.
  • Jackson has not been on tour for more than a decade, but the concerts at the O2 were seen as his final comeback before finally retiring from music.

Personally MJ, has been a very influential artist to many and and Icon to pop music. In this sad moments, we remember MJ as the greatest musician of all time.

See, typical human behaviour.
We only come to respect him on the day he dies.

My uncle always said,

"You will know how much change you brought to some one's life, only on the day you die. But unfortunately, you won't be able to see it.
"

I would say that MJ is known world wide, and across the globe, there are billions mourning for him with silent respect. He deserves the respect.

It don't matter if you're black or white, together, we respect this man, this legend.

Thanks MJ.

May your soul rest in peace.

Random Entry Mixed Over Notes

Random

Over
Notes to post it to my blog.

Morning nuts.

It has been a quiet morning. Last night, i found it hard to get proper rest. I went to bed around 10pm and I was tossing and turning and it was just difficult to sleep. Something was really bothering me. I never taken anything too seriously until that evening. Why am I being so bothered about what my mind said? I tried to revert my attention by listening to some music.

Eventually it worked, the slow songs that I listened to, was rather relaxing. The last I looked at the time before I feel asleep, it was 2am.

I know there are things in my mind that is rather disturbing me. But I've never took them to a level where it is so difficult to do anything without thinking about it so constantly. My mind is spinning~~ @.@

You know what, let me try to figure this out. Today is a new day.

I think God can explain

There's a lot of things I understand,
And there's a lot of things,
That I don't want to know.
But you're the only face,
I recognize, it's so damn sweet of you,
To look me in the eyes.

It's all right, I'm OK.
I think God can explain,
I believe I'm the same,
I get carried away
It's alright, I'm OK,
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed,
Ill get over it yet,

The scent of Vaseline,
In the summertime,
The feel of an ice cube,
Melting over time,
The world seems bigger than both of us,
Yet it seems so small,
When I begin to cry.

It's all right, I'm OK.
I think God can explain,
I believe I'm the same,
I get carried away
It's alright, I'm OK,
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed,
Ill get over it yet,

I'm so much better than you guessed,
I'm so much bigger than you guessed,
I'm so much brighter than you guessed.

It's all right, I'm OK.
I think God can explain,
I believe I'm the same,
I get carried away
It's alright, I'm OK,
I think God can explain
I'm relieved, I'm relaxed,
Ill get over it yet,

Ill get off of your back,
I think God can explain.
I think God can explain.
I think God can explain.

Bakkey and Jelley...

Maybe some of you were not aware that I have 4 rabbits, well that was only until yesterday.

(the one in highlight is Bakkey (white) and Jelley (light brown).

Yesterday, there was a call and my sister told me, the previous owner wanted to take Bakkey and Jelley back. I did not know why the change of mind but I could not do anything. It was my sisters friend, and I could not say anything about it. Those 2 was abit little'er than Bobo and Juju. They fight together, they bite the wires, they eat together and sleep together.

Now its only the 2 of them. Bobo and Juju.

When something or someone that has been closes to you, leaves you, its pain is unexplainable. It really hurts. But sometimes, its for the best.

Goodbye Bakkey + Jelley.

Lets go! to Hokano!

13th June 09, Saturday, Lunch Hour

Wonder if I get commission for this or not.. :P

So nuts, after the football match we had, I told Calvin, Loh and Hafiz if they were free to go to HOKANO.

I made it so clear that I really wanted to go a long time ago. I even made a post about it.

http://freshcoconutwater.blogspot.com/2009/02/what-do-i-want-to-eat.html

Well, for the adventure, we took 2 trains and one taxi there.
I remembered, Masjid Jamek and Taman Bahagia.
We told the taxi driver, Damansara Utama, Maybank.
I was amazed he just took us there, instead of slapping me. hahahahaha.

So we arrived at Restoran Jepun Hokano.

Tak sabar!! hahaha.

So we went in and Sean and Shiw Wei, our ex-schoolmates, was also working there.
Well, we sat and it took us a while to order what we wanted to eat.

Calvin and I already made our minds up and we ordered, and waited for Hafiz to make his decision. Hahahaha.. Last last also, Calvin and I tolong him, order California Rolls. Yuck!

So while waiting, we talk talk la.

Suddenly Shiw Wei came with this appertizer. It was egg in a cup. hahhaha. i dunno wad it was, but it was sooo delicious. After makan that, Our main course arrived! :p

Calvin's Mee Tikus. hahhaahha.. i dunno wads the name.
(CAL! if you remember wad you ate, write at my post box there, then I edit) :P

And this is My CHICKEN KAT SUDON. Wao. I love it baby! hahahahaha..

Hafiz using the Chopsticks to eat the Rolls. He struggled at first, but he was ok later on. Yucks! hahaha.

So, the restaurant and its staffs were going for a 3 hour break so, it meant Fei was available to come and sit and talk to us. So after makan, we went inside the kitchen to see our supreme Iron Chef, Hokano's Ho! hahaha.. It was really good food people, i'm not saying because i'm his good friend, but i'm speaking as a satisfied customer.

So, its time to go home now. Ho Kar Fei was going to drive us all back home. hahahaha.. Nice..

Going to settle the bill that time, Aunty (Fei's mom) say no need. She say, "So that next time you will still come back."

Aunty it was very nice of you, and I assure you this is not my last visit to Hokano. It was the first, and I really loved the food. Errr.. let me get myself used to the Sushi's before coming your place to try them.

This is Hafiz posing infront of Hokano! :p

See the person also enough la, we know the Star, posing. hahahaha..

Had fun guys!

Thanks for the trip to Hokano.

It was something we planned out to do for a long time and finally we got the chance to do it.

Mission Accomplished!

Calvin got back from his UNI that night around 2am.
Suddenly he call me and ask me If i'm free that afternoon, luckily Loh and Hafiz was already at my place. We planned to go to Bukit Bintang to get some equipments and saja jalan-jalan.

So, the three of us met Calvin in school inside the car there.
We told Calvin about our plan to B.B, but he had another idea.

Instead of going to BB, we hang around the Maluri area, so that Calvin could drive. woooo!! hahahah..

So, that was wad we did la.

Went here and there, last also, end up in Jusco.
There, we bought Iced Milo and went to the bakery.

Calvin bought his supper. Loh and I saw this little girl eat a piece of the donut and ran laughing. Hahaha..

Ward 25

I refused to leave my house to go to the hospital. I didn't want to go to the hospital, especially around the late evening. I just didn't want to say no to my mom, so eventually she made me go. It was almost 7pm when we reached. We entered the elevator and press "5" to the fifth floor. I can see people running here and there. There was this old man sitting and pressing his palm against his head with a devastated face, almost trying his best not to shed a tear from his sadness. I could only walk by. I saw this women trying to console another women who was in tears. That sadness was agonized by a boys wreckless driving. I could only feel sorry.

The sign showed, WARD 25 to the right. My mom walked ahead of my sister and me. We went right to the end of the ward. There she was, my eldest aunt, who was suffering from a virus attack, lying on the last bed on the right. It wasn't her first time there, she was suffering from multiple diseases. I stood by and just saw her, it was really painful just to see her. I could see it from her looks that she was in pain. I really cannot explain what she was suffering from because I don't really know. My mom, the youngest of the siblings, talked to her and tried to calm her down.

My mom held by aunt by hand for a while. I could see from her grip, that she was holding it tight. Not really tight, but it was tight enough, to show her love from her elder sister. As my aunt slowly dozed off to sleep, my mom fell to tears. It was unbareable. It was the hardest thing for a son, to watch his own mom in tears. It felt like I was not of any use to my mom. I sat close by my mom till the warden made a last announcement to leave the ward. Visiting hours was over. We left that ward with our goodbyes and prayers.

It was a silent walk back to the elevator and down to the car. I never been in such a silent car on the way home. St Michael, watch over her.

Just a phone call away

Someone asked me this question less than a week ago.

"Which of your friends do you least keep in touch with, after your SPM?"

At that point, the only name I could ever think of, and it was non other than Ho Kar Fei.

(This is Kar Fei holding a "lightsaber")

There are so many things happening in High School and most of it is because of friends. I consider Kar Fei as the catalyst of me getting close to the rest of the gang. Towards the end of 2005, Kar Fei was the person I got stuck with.

But, I guess it was in 2006 when the both of us was in the same class (3 Amanah), that we became close friends. I sat next to him in the class and I can't forget the those times. We talked so much of grandmother stories.. Always talking and making noise in the class.. Even got canned for being busy bodies.. hahaha.. Now when I come to think of it, I was because of Fei that I hang out more with the Chinese.

Back in those days, I remember talking with Kar Fei on the phone for hours. Yes Hours! We used the same DiGi line and we could never get bored of talking to each other on the phone. I would call Kar Fei if I had those problems as a teenager when you can't decide which is right and wrong and so on. Kar Fei had that brotherly attitude for me. I had always appreciated him for that and in return I was there when he needed me.

Like any best friends, there was always going to be complications and problems. Kar Fei and I, we argued, we fought, we didn't speak to each other for a certain period of time, we ignored each other, but that was always going to be temporary right?

In the end, we would apologize and make up for our silliness.

Came a time after PMR, when I was given the Science class and he was given the Accounts class.
Since then, it is truthful to say that the both of us did not continue that same bond of friendship again.

Maybe, the first few months was OK. But after sometime, Kar Fei started hanging out with his classmates more and he had his priorities towards work. Whereas, I was also with my classmates and the other Science students. I had more responsibilities to my Curricular activities.

But we never completely ignored each other. It was just difficult to meet or hang out with our different schedules and unpredictable timing.

It was probably during the Merdeka Show that Kar Fei and I got the chance to actually sit and talk like before. That was probably why that Merdeka Show was so memorable. I had the chance to be with my friends, spend almost the whole day with them till at night. Personally, it was a dream becoming reality.

Hahaha.. great times..

Then came THAT YEAR, 2008.This was the most intensive year of High School life. With the pressure of SPM on our thoughts and with our parents and teachers pestering us to do well, it wasn't really a relaxing time. Honestly, that Merdeka thing had effected us in a way, that we just didn't want to study anymore.

So, there was alot to brush up and more extra classes to make up for it. Once again, Kar Fei and I didn't really got to see or talk much with each other. We would be seen together in the canteen, eating our meals. Other than that, we didn't really talk much. Sometimes I would make attempts to try to sit and talk with him, but it seemed like we didn't really got much to talk about anymore. It was sad in a way la. I gotta say that I felt it was because of the fact that he hang out with the wrong people, that he began to become more attached to them and probably left me out. But I could not blame him or his friends, I know it wasn't easy.

It was only during SPM, the day of examination, when he sat down and asked for assistance. I was amazed that he actually managed to remember almost all of the novel in less than an hour. It was fun. I really gave him silly situations that made him remember the whole thing by heart.

It was after taking the results when I last saw or heard from him for a long time. I smsed him just recently. I tried to made a day we could go out, but in the end tak jadi.

This was what he had to reply

"Its ok dude, as long as we keep in touch, i'm hapi enuf"

Good news was that Choon Liong planned an outing on Sunday and managed to get Fei to come. I called Kar Fei to reaffirm. That phone call I made lasted a long time. We actually managed to talk and laugh so much.

After that phone call, i had this urge to see him and engage more conversation with him.

(Fei, Mon and Kai Tjun)

Sometimes I'm amazed with what one phone call could do. It happened in many occasions and every time it happened, it was because I made it happen. It was just a phone call away.

Sometimes when I actually call or sms someone after a long time, I'm just worried that I'm actually interrupting them. That's the reason why I decided not to engage any conversation with anyone. All I do is just send greetings or something that i feel is worth sharing and hope that they response.

I felt like I pushed Kar Fei too far that I almost forgot that he was there. But I have never wanted my friendship with anyone to end just like that. I always appreciated the people who are/were/was/and will be close to me. They might not know, but I do care for them. Each and every one of them.

THA - Badminton Championships

Yesterday, Monday, 8th June 09, THA (Team Hawk Academy) had another badminton tournament. This time, it was the precious World Championships Single Badminton Tournament.

The draws were made and I was the 4th seeded player going into the tournament behind Loh, Hafiz and Ku.

My first match was against the World Number One, Loh.

I had always had a terrible record against the badminton maestro. I never won against him on a one-on-one game. Today was going to be the day I ended that aweful draught.
We fought hard and fought hard at the first round. It was those match when you can say Master against Apprentice.

In the end, I won 21-19, 19-21, 23-21.

It wasn't a easy match against Loh. It felt really great to beat him for the first time. Although I lost in the finals against Hafiz 21-19, 21-17, I felt I did a great job, and so did Loh and the others.

At least I know that I'm improving my game.
Congratz Hafiz!
And the hunt for my first title continues...
-----
Oh ya, Welcome back from NS,
Alex Fong Kai Tjun and Eko Juniardi Dani!
hahahhaha..

:)

Thank you! :)

Family Fun

Yesterday, we went out for dinner. And My uncle complained about the toilet.

Uncle: The restaurant looks so grand, but the toilet is so terrible.

DumSista: Just now both of us (She and my cousin) went and it was ok only wad, looks nice.

Cousin: Yea, it was so nice.

Uncle shakes his head in disagreement.

DumSista: Maybe you went to the staff toilet.

Me: =.=" [In my thoughts] = How dumber can you get?

My sister asked my dad who just came back from the toilet.

DumSista: The toilet was ok only right pa (dad) ?

Dad: ???? Well, it was there.

HAHAHA..

Genting Highland Trip

Sorry it took too long to blog about it.
Anyways, we went up and down Genting and believe me when I say, it was a blast!! hahaha..
Minus'ing the part we didn't get the chance to play the rides, it was a great trip. Here are 18 pictures to follow up with the story.

So this is how it all started.

Calvin, Loh and I arrived at the Pasarakyat near Pudu there and we went to have lunch at a restoran nearby. So, we ate ate, and talk talk and waitied for the bus to arrive.

(This is Loh and Cal walking to the bus stop)

So, the bus came and sat through the 50 minute trip. We had to survive the zig-zag the bus was speeding in and it wasn't pretty.

Calvin slept like a baby half way saying it was too cold. Then only i realised I didn't on my aircond from the start. No wander it was so hot. hahaha..

Anyways, we arrived at the Genting Cable car port. We are going to take the cable car up to Genting. Haihz.. Not good news for me.

Good thing Calvin already had the tickets so we didn't had to waste time lining up for the tickets. So we 3 got on the Cable car and it was.. LIFTOFF!!!

Just for the satisfaction of Loh and Calvin. How meaner can Calvin get? taking this picture. Haihz, so this is the only picture I'm going to post from the cable car. The rest I'm not gonna put it up. Haihz. No way.

Anyways, it was an experience.

Personally, I really thought it was the end. We went so high up and every time it reaches the huge pole, it bumbs so hard. But after sometime, it didn't really matter if i was going to die there. At least I got my 2 buddies to accompany me. :p

I think probably that factor made me feel less afraid and more ready to face it!
THANKS GUYS! But still, there is no next time for this!

So we arrived up at the peak there and went to check in the Hotel.

So, we went into our hotel room and kinda relaxed there till it was 7 something. After that we went to makan dinner. Believe me people, the food here is so blady expensive. Might as well bungkus some nasi lemak and bring it up here.

So after dinner, we went walking about.

Calvin and Loh were the main attaction i guess.

We had a show to attend to at 9pm, so till then went walking and trying to explore the place.

So what best way to do it then to play Bowling.

Its always interesting to see Calvin bowl. He had this weird spinning style when he bowl. Kinda funny la.
So SK was Silent Killer and PS was P**n Star.
Hahaha..

So in the end, Calvin emerged victorious.

Nothing much to celebrate about la. We knew he was going to win, Loh purposely only give chance to Calvin. Hahaha..

So, we were right on time for the show.

It was called Dreamz and it was at the Arena of Stars in Pavilion, Genting.

Very nice la, we got to see many fancy moves and that funny Shawn Michaels look-a-like clown, whom came up to the stands and shook our hands. He was funny throughout the show.

Anyways, we also got to see the beautiful White Lion and White Tiger. Both look like myths but we got the chance to watch them and it was beautiful.

We couldn't get shots of them as it was forbidden. But it was a show to remember i guess.

So after show which ended about after an hour or so, we went galavanting again.

This time, we went outside of Highland Hotel and into the cold night. Much of the time, Calvin and Loh were the center of attaction. Hahaha.. Honestly it was cold up there and the wind did not help at all! ahhaha.. made it more cold.

Hahaha.. this was really funny la. Probably around 11.30pm.

Oh and this picture, as promised. Check out where was the arrow pointing to. This way to the Arena of Stars = Calvin. (Only way)
Haha..

Calvin was bangga for a while.

So we kept on walking till we had something interesting to do la. And more pictures.
Hahaha.. And thats me! with Calvin and Loh! hahaha..

All that walking and talking made us hungry, so we went out to get some food.
We stopped at the McDonalds and took pictures.

(B.F.F.)

Hahaha.. Looks like Loh.

So, we went to Marry Brown to get something to eat and we made out way back up to the room.
More pictures coming your way.

(Calvin pointing at the Star Walk)

We used the STAR WALK, and as usual, our Star also kembang already la. Check out the pose la.
So after a while, I think it was 1am already.
We went into our room and makan makan there la.

Somemore got plate all. haha.. This is our supper.

So after supper, we sat, Calvin was hitting me with the pillow, I bodyslammed Loh and Calvin.. For some reason, we had alot to do at that particular time and we talked alot too.
We watched TV and some chinese drama that was quite interesting. Hahaha.
We talked all the way till 3.30am until we finally decided to call it a day.

So we slept off..

ZZZZZZZZ....

So, the very next morning, i woke up at 8.30 for some reason. And it was cold.
I went to brush my teeth and wash my face.
I didn't knew I would continue sleeping which eventually happened.
hahahha..

So i woke up again at 10am.
Loh was awake already. And it was time to take a bath.
Believe me, it wasn't easy taking a bath.
Why??
Well, you can ask Loh that.
It because of the almost transparent door. Hahaha..

In the end, we still took our shower.
Now, its time to pack up and get ready to get lost.

Loh was checking if we left anything before finally getting out and out of the Hotel.
We had to go down the cable car and get the bus tickets at 2.30

So, we took one last stroll across the place before finally getting out of there.
Back in the cable car.
It was better coming up than going down.

Quite scary la.

It was a nice and better view though.
Now it was time we screamed our lungs out.
Calvin screamed for no reason.
I tried screaming, but no voice come out, i think i was too scared. Hahaha..

We even did the pleasure of waving to the others cable car moving in the opposite direction. Hahaha..

So, as it came down, our journey to Genting came to a close end.

For all I know, I had so much of fun from this place.
2 of my past objective is finally completed.
It was a great time at Genting, but surely not the last time. :p
Thanks again to Loh and Calvin!
