True Malaysian Spirit..

Like we all know, the Olympics is the biggest thing that's 'happening' right now.

Malaysia has already trained their finest athlete's in events such as Badminton, Archery, Sailing, Cycling, 53kg Weightlifting, Swimming, and Diving. However, as disappointing as every other Olympic, the Malaysian didn't make the most of their chances to go through to the finals or semis as most of the Shuttlers lost out before even making it in the Semis, The Archery team came close to equalizing but lost, Daniel Bego is just not ready for the Olympics from what we saw, but we do give him credit for trying his best and i didn't event hear a single thing about the other games.

Well, Malaysia's only hope to retrieve a medal from the prestigious event is through the Men Single Badminton. Lee Chong Wei is our final hope to end the wait for a gold medal. We Malaysian have never been so proud of an Athlete like him for all he has done to bring honor and respect to Malaysia.

The semifinals includes Lee Chong Wei against Lee Hyun Il from Korea and Lin Dan against compatriot Chen Jin.

Like every other Malaysian around the country, I wanted to watch the game. But the blady Astro had some problems. The fastest thing that i could think of is to run to the mamak infront of my house. So i did. I was fortunate to get a good TV viewing seat and ordered a Teh Tarik and Roti Bakar.

The match was so intensive, believe me. Lee Chong Wei won the first set and was struggling to put of a much anticipated performance in the second set as Lee Hyun Il was crushing Chong Wei by a load mile of points. Fingers were crossed and eyes wide open in the third and final set. Everyone in the Mamak was supporting with their hearts as they shouted everytime Lee Chong Wei scored a magnificent point. I, myself couldn't help but shout.

Lee Chong Wei was on the verge of winning against the Korean but Hyun Il didn't give up as he did everything to block off Chong Wei from getting a chance. Now it was down to the final point. Chong Wei was one point away from everything; the finals, a confirmation of a medal (either gold or silver), and everyone in Malaysia is placing their hopes on him. HE DID IT. He won the game, he has brought Malaysia to the promised land. He has done it. At that instant, everyone in the Mamak got up and shouted their lungs out. Everyone, Chineses, Indians, and Malays were all together screaming as one. This is want i want to see. Its a dream come true to see everyone unite as one. Not as Malays, not as indians. But as Malaysians! This is what i dream for to see the True Malaysian Spirit.

I thought to myself, Its funny how Malaysians come together as one to support a representative from the Nation. Regardless the religion, we are still Malaysians after all. And for Chong Wei to enter the final brought tears to my eyes. It was because I love my country, yes i do. Lee Chong Wei is/was and will be a inspiration to everyone in the country. To every little boys and girls who plays badminton, they will be wishing to play like him one day. Every teen who plays badminton this very moment, Lee would be their inspiration.

I've dedicated my life playing football from a young age as a hobby. I gave up that interest and pursued a higher interest in Badminton because of him. Lee Chong Wei, a hero.
My hero.

I couldn't help but shed a tear and feel proud for him while typing this in. He has given all he could for Malaysia and he is just one step away from getting the long awaited GOLD medal. He has to climb a big mountain now, as he faces arch nemesis Lin Dan in the Finals.
EVERY single Malaysian around the country will be behind our hero, Lee Chong Wei, our Golden Boy.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU LEE!
WERE PLACING ALL OUR HOPES ON YOU!
GO FOR THE GOLD,
GOLDEN BOY!
